“ We got here at like 230 on a Saturday and it was super busy! We took it as a good sign and we were not disappointed. I'm new to the area but El Pino had exactly the flavor of Mexican rice that I Search for. Pair the perfect rice with a bargain lunch menu even on the weekends- in love. We will be back! ”
“ Overall experience; fantastic! Salsa is the best I've had with the free chips anywhere. Cadillac Margarita was great and strong and 14.99 for jumbo 32oz. 3 tacos were 3.75! With all the a la carte menu items along with the add on-s, you can customize your order anyway you want and the prices are super reasonable. I took the Shrimp Cocktail at 12.99 and added on 6 shrimp for 4.00 and the shrimp were large and delicious. It was the never ending shrimp bowl. I didn't drink the sauce or anything, just scooped out the shrimp and some of the pico de gallo and look at the difference in the level of the glass, almost all shrimp just to give you an idea of the generous portion. I wasn't counting but I would guess around 18 or so shrimp. Best shrimp cocktail ever, can't wait to go back. Tons of value for the money. beef hard shell tacos are cheaper than taco bell for crying out loud. I can't believe I am only trying this place for the first time this past weekend. The place was packed on a Sunday around 1:00. IF I knew how much shrimp was going to be in the cocktail, I would not have ordered the tacos. What a great meal for 21.00. Ate like a King. I just wish it had a bar. 6 stars!!! Went back and Got the 3 hard tacos for 3.75 x 2 and see pics for the results ”
“ Friendly and speedy service, delicious, fresh food and drinks — as always. Our go-to for small gatherings with friends and family. A place that never disappoints. Recommend without reserve. ”
“ The carne en su jugo soup is the best I've ever had on the East Coast. I also love their queso fundido. I also called a ghost calling out for help just outside this restaurant back in 2012 or so. ”
“ The food tastes like I’m back on the border, and you can’t beat the prices. True TexMex Mexican cuisine. The staff are willing to make whatever you want even if it’s not on the menu. The salsa is a little hot for my kids and wife but I love it. The sopapillas are however thin and more like a churro chip than a real one. The margarita came out on fire, it was delicious and only 6. Super impressed with this place. ”
“ Such bomb food, I've been in Fredericksburg for a few years and have tried almost every Mexican restaurant in the area, got around to trying this one on a date night & the food was sooo good start to finish. I got the choro-pollo & the pollo was cooked perfect so tender & juicy and the cheese sauce MY GOD I am like 120 lbs and ate like a grown man, absolutely not an speck left over though I wish there had been lol The Sangarita Margarita was made strong & delicious. The staff was super nice too. 10/10 ”
“ We LOVE this place. The food is authentic, the service is exceptional. We don't patronize any other restaurant for Mexican food. I've never been disappointed ”
“ Locals favorite for Mexican food. Multiple trips here. Staff are masked up and attentive. Place is clean and the food is reasonably priced. Fried beef Chimmy dinner and shrimp quesadilla lunch item. Both were served very hot and each had ample sour cream/guacamole/lettuce/tomato toppings. Rice with corn/peas and refried beans are outstanding! Other Mexican dining options in the area do not even come close to the quality of the food here. *Note this review was completed without using ridiculous undiscriptive terms like OMG, awesome, yummy, delish, to die for, do your self a favor, trust me, etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No one cares about the waiter/waitress names, their abilities, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. No we don't care about your allergies or the need for gluten free food. ”
